Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Eating Disorders: A Practice Based Introduction

This training provides you with a practice-based introduction to using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to treat Eating Disorders.

This training provides relevant professional development in the area of eating disorders suitable for Psychologists, Social Workers, Counsellors, Psychiatrists and other health professionals working with individuals with eating disorders.

This training can be completed at your own pace and will take approximately 1 hour to complete.

It is recommended that you complete our ‘Management of Eating Disorders in the Community’ online training, as a comprehensive understanding of eating disorders is assumed knowledge for this training.

This online course includes expert videos (conducted by renowned Australian and international specialists in the field, as well as feedback from sufferers and their families), interactive exercises and quizzes.

There are 3 modules, which will equip you with an understanding of the theory of CBT; the key cognitions and behaviours that CBT targets in eating disorders; the evidence for CBT in eating disorders and how to apply CBT in practice (addressing each of the core strategies used in CBT for eating disorders).
